    Comprehensive with through explanations.

I’ve long been interested in the Queen’s Indian Defense (QID) and its sibling, the Nimzo-Indian, but some of the concepts behind these hypermodern openings can be difficult to grasp. Enter Chessgoals with offerings for both. This review is for the QID, which I’ve actually had a chance to play since starting the course. The course is comprehensive, meaning there is a lot of material to learn -for most, including me, one time through the course won’t be enough- but presenters James Fazzolari and Matt Jensen do a good job of reinforcing key points and explaining the strategic themes behind the QID. For example, though I’m only 60% through the course at the moment, I won my first game with it, even though my opponent varied early. Thanks to the discussion of themes and strategy, I was able to come up with a plan that kept me in the game until my opponent started making tactical mistakes. Not surprisingly, I’m very happy with my purchase and highly recommend it.

We know you'll love this course as much as we do

If you aren't satisfied with the course in the first 30 days, we will issue a full refund.
